Part message designer, part English-to-English translator, and now part Ivy League doctoral student, Tamsen Webster helps leaders build messages that build buy-in for change. A sought-after speaker international speaker and strategist, she’s spent over 25 years studying how to accelerate understanding and adoption of even the most complex and unconventional ideas. In 2023, she founded the Message Design Institute to help others do the same. The author of the best-selling Find Your Red Thread and the award-winning Say What They Can't Unhear, Tamsen has worked with Fortune 10 executives, Ivy League deans, and impact-focused speakers and entrepreneurs to make their messages impossible to ignore. She built and delivers the message design curriculum for Elemental Impact, serves as a professional advisor at MIT’s Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship, and mentors at the Harvard Innovation Labs. For over a decade, she’s also been the Idea Strategist for the only science-focused TEDx event, helping research scientists transform their innovations into unforgettable inspirations. Named to the Thinkers50 Radar list in 2022, she continues to shape how leaders communicate for lasting change. She and her husband, two sons, and two retired Greyhounds (Hazel and Walnut) live in Boston, where she's now lived long enough to develop a Bostonian alter ego named Karen O'Sullivan.
